Education Internships

Education interns interact with our guests through exhibit interpretation and staffing touch carts. They may also assist the director of education with classroom presentations and special events.

Essential Functions

  • Provide our guests with a meaningful experience through exhibit interpretation
  • Staff touch carts with animal artifacts
  • Assist in the presentation of school programs
  • Perform special projects, such as: curriculum development, animal fact sheet research and writing, development of other new educational resources for our groups, etc., to be determined by the director of education.

Requirements

  • Open to college students currently enrolled in an accredited college, pursuing a degree in biology, ecology, environmental science, education, or a related field
  • Must complete a minimum of 120 hours of work within the selected term, preferably during the week.
